The airport express entry gates and platforms are different and not close to the ones for the Tung Chung line. The whole station seems much bigger than it needs to be so there is a bit of walking to the gates and then to the platforms, or even to leave the station to take the airport express shuttle bus or take a taxi. The lifts are also not at the most convenient locations so again there may be a bit more walking. But generally the station is modern and clean, just not as busy as most other stations in Hong Kong most of the time especially for the airport express side.
Very easy the get around when you get off the airport express. After you exit, there are taxis to the left or you can take the airport shuttle bus which is free to one of the many hotels (up the escalators) and which leave every 15-20 min. There are different routes so make sure to check before getting on a bus. Not all hotels are represented, but you can ask which hotel is closest and then walk from that stop.
Big and empty... Not many shops.. kind of hard to find a place like this in 'HK. very quiet. Good cheap food selection from Elements.
Very convenient to travel through there as airline check in counters allow you to get rid of your luggage ahead of the airport and avoid the traffic. Then board the train with your carry-on.
If you just come for a breezy air in the evening in Nov, then this is what you can expect. Scene of panorama view from Kowloon Yo HK so nice
