Mammy Pancake, Hong Kong Reviews - Write a Review
This little Michelin recommended shop draws crowds to taste its light, fluffy, and crispy egg waffles. I tried the chocolate chip, sweet potato, and green tea with red bean flavors, as well as the milk tea. The best items were the chocolate chip waffle and milk tea. I like the milk tea because it is chilled but does not have ice, so the flavor stays strong.
3.5 stars. Fluffy crunchy egg cakes that are better and cheaper than the states but nothing to write home about. It is a bit too airy in my opinion and I expected more to the Michelin recommended snackery. Review based on the original egg puff only.
The pancake tastes crispy when it is hot. Tried the coffee flavour one as i am a coffee lover. Not bad, but prefer i would it to be richer coffee flavour. :) Overall it is good as snack!
waffles was crispy. But after eating half of it was getting a little too sick of the taste. It was good thou
I am tempted to try Mammy after seeing their popularity on instagram and due to the "michelin star". Take exit D1 from Tsim Tsa Tsui station (exit D2 was supposedly closer but it is closed for rennovation) They have different kinds of flavor/fillings for the eggette. I bought the green tea with red bean & the purple one (taro or sweet potato, probably) ; the green tea dissapoints while the purple one was okay. It is somewhat crunchy on the outside and soft inside. However, I'll probably stick to my usual Lee Keung Kee North Point nearby. They only sell original flavor but it is really crunchy and more addicting, though the wait could be more than 30mins.
