Ocean Park - Review

Ocean Park is the big daddy of marine themed park. Ranked among the 50 most visited destinations in the world by Forbes, it plays host to almost seven million visitors annually – which indicates that it’s got a lot more to show besides giant pandas. A mountain separates the park into two large areas: The Headland Summit and the Lowland Waterfront.

A marine mammal park, an oceanarium, and an animal theme park make lovely distractions between the four roller coaster rides. You can even catch some really cool nature shows now and then, one of which is a night only show featuring the world’s only 360-degree water screen. For a truly epic experience, catch the park in time for spine tingling Halloween Bash, the showy Christmas sensation, and the energetic Chinese New Year Fiesta.

Ocean Park, Hong Kong Reviews

  • A great full day fulfilled outing for the whole family. The quality of animal exhibits are superlative. The rides are truly hair raising and has something for everybody. The grand aquarium and the shark display are extremely well built and planned for giving everyone a glimpse into real sea life from shore to the deeps. The overall experience is very good. Food options are very limited and pricey. The access from the city center is also very good. All in all, a very good time spent here with my family.

  • My second time here in HongKong Ocean Park. One of the best attractions in the city. What I love about it is the extreme rides. My memorable ride was the Hair Raiser. It was also my first time to rode a cable car and the view was breathtaking. I super enjoyed it! I hope someday I will take my parent and nieces/nephew here.

  • What I enjoyed the most about this park was the ride on the cable car. The view is fantastic. You can see the Pacific and nearby islands. Then there are the usual theme park attractions. A plus is the possibility to see the pandas. Though do not expect much action there as they spend most of the time sleeping. A downside could be the food service, there aren't many options. The souvenir shops are quite complete though.

  • Fun rides, well organised and signposted theme park. Queue management was good. Friendly and approachable staff. Loved seeing the red pandas being fed, and the giant panda so close! Wow Interesting sea life and information/facts. Kids loved this part. Good for kids and adults alike.

  • It is a very nice place to go with your family. And personally, my favorite part is the riding of cable car in which you can see the view of the ocean when you are transferring from one mountain to another. The other rides are pretty cool too.
