Hong Kong has a long coastline that is full of twists and turns with many bays and beaches. Many of them are well sheltered by mountains nearby, as Hong Kong is a mountainous place. As a result, large waves seldom appear at the bays, making them suitable for human swimming. However, with the increasing development and urbanisation of Hong Kong, water quality has worsened resulting in the closure of several beaches previously suitable for swimming. These include Approach Beach, Ting Kau Beach, Anglers' Beach, Gemini Beaches, Hoi Mei Wan Beach, Casam Beach and Lido Beach in Tsuen Wan. In 2011, Lido Beach, Casam Beach, Approach Beach and Hoi Mei Wan Beach were reopened following an improvement in water quality. About half of the beaches suitable for swimming in Hong Kong are managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), and are officially referred to as gazetted beaches. A number of other beaches are privately owned or not gazetted, but are nonetheless publicly accessible.Wikipedia

The View is nice. However the Barbecue Zone is renewing at the present but the webpage didn't Tell us.
A nice place for family and kids during holiday. Ferry from Central No.6 pier and a hotel restaurant nearby the beach which is convenience to kids.
if u are looking for a not so packed beach on weekend then this is the perfect place for u.there are resorts nearby bt i recommend to book early so u can have no worries or else or u will be like me hoping to enjoy the night bt sadly had to return home for the night.😫😭
Beach is clean. Sand is fine. Water is muddy and not clear. Seabed is slippery!
Gorgeous views, easily accessible from HK. Sand a little course but not painful shale. Water naturally a little murky as partial mudflat ecosystem on right side of beach.
