Known as the largest mall in Hawaii and the largest open-air shopping center in the world, the Ala Moana Center is just what you need if shopping is your fetish!
Note many malls can boast about their architecture, but this mall is an exception for sure. So, as you shop through a flood of stores looking for those perfect shoes or lifting a handful of goodies, don’t forget to stop by and admire the architecture of the place.
The Makai Market food court is apt for recharging your batteries with some fabulous dishes that cater to every taste.

Who doesn't love Ala Moana. But wow... on the new food court. It's middle floor by Macy's. Wow must check it out. Love the idea of food both ends of the mall and in the middle. But need more access to elevators. And more maps how to get to store.
Some of the best food and shopping on the island. Great restaurants from super $$$ and swanky to cheap eats from the food court. The center stage has frequent performances of music, dance, and other stuff if you want to take a break from shopping/eating. The new Shirokiya food court/beer garden is AMAZING. It gets crowded but you can always find a seat, and the selection and prices of food and drinks are unbeatable.
Apple store is a great place! Almost everything you need in regards to fashion and food. Bunch of entertainment options for the children, teens, families, or single adults all in an outdoor/open air type of environment. Plenty of free parking. Handicap accessible. Multiple public restrooms. Always felt safe there. At night there are a few venues for live or DJ style entertainment which may also serve alcohol.
Great variety of shops to suit all shoppers. Amazing Japanese food court inside which feels like you're in Tokyo! Live bands and artists also regularly perform which makes the outdoor mall feel even more relaxed. Definitely one of the best shopping malls I have been to
A little of everything here. Huge mall. But difficult to navigate. Better have a GPS app to find where you parked. And better use the maps or customer service counter to find specific store you're looking for. Layout is odd, with some stores facing out towards parking.
