Hale Koa Luau - Review

The Luau is something that is quint essentially pacific themed. Hawaii celebrates this Luau culture through these little weekly Luaus. The atmosphere is grand and festive, the food is delicious and the dances and performances are simply spectacular.

If you want to get this authentic taste of Hawaiian Luaus, head over to the Hale Koa Luau. Tourists certainly swear by it and even though it takes place only twice a week flock to it in huge numbers. Held at the Hale Koa Hotel, this Luau is one of the best in Honolulu.

A trip to Hawaii would be incomplete without taking part in this very unique cultural tradition. The hula dances, the fire breathing performers and the delectable delights are sure to leave you enthralled for hours on end. Hale Koa Luau is one of the attractions in 2 Days Itinerary Honolulu. Must visit this awesome attraction.

  • This is a D.O.D. owned hotel, so you will need to be a military member to book a hotel reservation. I have only been here for wedding parties and brunch. However, the banquet rooms and restaurant is pretty good. The parking on the other hand is a little inconvient. The parking lot is across the street. While the parking lot is a decent size to accommodate it's guests, there is no cover between the parking lot and the hotel. Hopefully you have someone to help you carry your things to and from the hotel. The Hilton Hawaiian Village is right next door, so there's various restaurants there just in case the food at the hotel doesn't hit your craving and you can do a lot of shopping there as well. You're also right at the beginning of the Waikiki strip. There's a lot of things to check out there. The sights are awesome. On Friday's, you can go out to the beach and watch the Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks show at night.

  • I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about our stay. The rooms in our tower were a little dated but very well maintained. The other tower was under renovation. The resort is clean. The service is good. There's a PX, car rental, and MWR on-site. Our ocean front room was beautiful. Sunday brunch was good. The daily breakfast buffet at the on-site restaurant was always fresh and delicious. This is an overall great option for military personnel.

  • If you are a veteran or active duty servicemen this is the place to stay when visiting Honolulu Hawaii. It's one of the only hotels that is right on the beach. The restaurant food is excellent the service was friendly and professional. Also the landscape was awesome to be inside the city. There's a park nearby for those of us who like to walk in the morning or the evening. There is a boardwalk that goes along the shore and that was really nice for early morning walks.

  • This hotel is awesome! Strategically located in Waikiki Beach and walking distance to most of the Restaurants and Malls. The rooms and their facilities are all clean and well maintained. The stores and restaurants offers affordable goods. What I love most are their staff. All of them are courteous friendly and very helpful in everything! Excellent service. Kudos Halekoa Staff ! a special Thank You for my good friend Edwin Ramirez who works at the Bell Desk for making our stay in Honolulu as comfortable and fun all through our stay!

  • Excellent hotel and resort for military and their families. They are in the process of completing an extensive renovation of their main pool, so keep that in mind if your are planning on visiting before summer 2019. The barefoot bar has the best drink prices on the beach ( they serve both military and civilians).
