The Luau is something that is quint essentially pacific themed. Hawaii celebrates this Luau culture through these little weekly Luaus. The atmosphere is grand and festive, the food is delicious and the dances and performances are simply spectacular.
If you want to get this authentic taste of Hawaiian Luaus, head over to the Hale Koa Luau. Tourists certainly swear by it and even though it takes place only twice a week flock to it in huge numbers. Held at the Hale Koa Hotel, this Luau is one of the best in Honolulu.
A trip to Hawaii would be incomplete without taking part in this very unique cultural tradition. Hale Koa Luau Reviews & Ratings
UNBELIEVABLE. Granted, the hustle and bustle of the downtown area was a bit more than expected but the staff and events at the Hale Koa far out weighed that. We were so at ease with the friendly staff and the security. They really know how to honor and respect our military personnel. We loved the huge open air environment and there isn't a bad view even from the partial ocean view rooms. The place was one huge garden. The daily strolls to the aquatic center or the adult pool were so peaceful. The security features and often seen military police were a welcome sight. Oh, and Vinny, he's a bellhop that I hope everyone gets. That guy was great. A great job to all.
We came to the Hale Koa with my in-laws and it was a great experience. Everything from the beach to the food to the friendly faces made the experience. I hardly wanted to wander away from the hotel at all. It is a unique place. If you get a chance make sure that you enjoy this beautiful place. I can't imagine any other place on Hawaii I would rather stay than at the Hale Koa. We went for dinner at Aulani which is Disney's resort and we found that it was inferior in many ways. It was more crowded. The beach was not as nice. The entertainment at the Hale Koa is quite nice as well. It is not catered to children. So, that is something to be aware of from the start. There are a lot of jokes about old people and it is kind of true except for those stationed in Hawaii or coming with parents/grandparents. Enjoy your stay in paradise.
My wife and I have stayed at the Hale Koa approximately 6 or 7 times. 3 of our stays we sponsored my relatives. Each and every time the Staff at the front desk to the Staff in the restaurants have always went the extra mile to ensure our vacation was great. We return year after year, because it's a great place to go. From the Staff in Housekeeping to the on site entertainment, almost everyone we encountered trys very hard to make sure you enjoy stay!!! The House of the Warrior in my opinion is the best bang for the buck on Oahu!! We left in April and will be back in March!!!
Very nice hotel, need to be military or retired to stay there, or you can find someone to sponsor you to eat there, or have your wedding reception there. It will be worth your effort. The parking is across the street, and there is lots of stalls. No worries. Have a nice time
I would definitely classify their reservation customer service with ONE Star. It is always a hassle to communicate. If you call any other hotel in the Area they are prompt in answering and assisting. Maybe they should inquire about their processes to ensure better service. The response will be obvious that they try their best but are they really? I believe there are better ways to serve rather than having customers be on wait for over 30min. If the answer is the website that is not customer service.
