  • I attended a conference with well over 500 participants at the convention center. The many air conditioned conference rooms were configured to accommodate large or small groups according to the presentations scheduled. Conference planners used the space at the convention center well. The rooftop garden was a perfect place to take a break between presentations. A large room on another floor was used for a sit down lunch that catered to the participants' needs. Service at lunch was professional and fast.

  • Last week I attended a conference here. It's a great facility for conferences. Things seem well kept and well run. The layout is not super clear, but manageable. Parking is 10$ a day, which I suppose is reasonable, but I ended up parking off site and walking over. Not a problem for me. The loss of the star is primarily due to the food. It's unclear who is responsible for the disparity in cost and portion, the convention center or the event coordinators. 40$ for the luncheon which was a piece of chicken that was just okay, a roll and a few small veggies. Way over priced in my opinion. I can see the slight wear over the years, but that's unavoidable to some extent. Overall, great venue.

  • As far as Convention Centers go, this one is pretty nice. Most people don't know that it's also home to a pretty decent Hawai'ian art gallery. When there's no events, you can stroll around and look at the different items. The location is ideal. About the only complaint I have is that the parking rate is expensive. I wish they would have kama'aina rates!

  • All kinds of stuff to do. From concerts to comedy skits like fluffy. Job fairs. Like love live it out the best way can. Have fun and get off your couch. Show some skills. Make money. Make some food. 😋 yummy. Car shows.

  • I came here a lot for the Bridal and Wedding Expos for work. I like coming to other events here as well such as conventions or pageants and things like that. My most recent experience with The Universal Show Queen pageant was a good one, the air conditioning was on full blast and they had catering/drink service. I was here for the Honolulu Festival a week or so ago and that was so much fun, they had the whole exhibition hall full, had a stage with performances all day out in the glass lobby. Quilts, Taiko, cultural booths, local businesses. This place is an all around cool place even if you're just passing through. The car shows are really cool here too!
