Hyatt Centric Waikiki Beach, Honolulu Reviews - Write a Review
Hotel is very nice, clean and modern. But it's pretty loud at night. It seems to be coming from the rooms next door, rather than the outside, but I can't be too sure. They do provide ear plugs though to help with this. The location is pretty prime too, but not on the beach, which was one of the reasons we chose it. There is tons of shops and good eats close by.
From check in to check out our stay was amazing! Especially enjoyed the floor-to-ceiling windows and live music on Wednesday nights. It was a quick walk to the beach we could see Diamondhead from our room and the sun rise 😀🤗
I've traveled the world and been to a lot of hotels for work and this is my favorite so far. The front desk was highly personable. Instead of making the rooms massive and empty, this hotel puts the perfect amount of very useful and tasteful features in their rooms. The decor is very nice. Included in the night stands is a USB port for charging your phone without a block which is a feature that every hotel should have but that I've only seen this one deliver so far. There are too many amenities to list. This is going to be my go-to hotel from now on.
We went there for our honeymoon and got booked in room 1506. This room was great during the day, but at night when it came time to sleep, the bar across the street (Tsunami’s) was SO loud and we hardly got rest. The noise kept up until well after 3am some nights and the rest of the nights it was loud past 1am. Our stay was from Wednesday to a Thursday morning and we waited until Tuesday or so to bring it up to the front desk. The girl there offered us another room as an ‘upgrade’ but we had to pay MORE money for it since all of the Mountain View rooms were booked. She wasn’t accommodating and we just beared with the noise for the remaining two nights. We loved Hawaii but we won’t be staying at a Hyatt next time we visit.
Good place to stay. Pros - New hotel. Clean and comfortable. - Great welcome gift (I got shell necklace), and free BPA free water bottles - Partial ocean view was enough for mood. Price compatibility - Restaurants were great, and having live music every Tue and Thu (need to check if you visit later) - At the center of the Waikiki beach. Shops and restaurants were easy to access. Cons - Needs to take detour to go the beach (There probably would be a short-cut, but I couldn't find it -- need to walk 5-10min) - Pools are mostly for kids. Too shallow and small. - Lobby was at 8th floor, so borrowing bath tower was little inconvenient and no beach mat rent
