Japanese Cultural Center Of Hawaii - Review

The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii sheds light on the struggles and success stories of the Japanese immigrants who came to the Hawaiian Islands. The Historic exhibits, Museum and the Tea House, offer Japanese culture and tradition in the most creative way and tell the story of how the small immigrant population grew and made US their own.

The Seikoan Teahouse relives the Japanese tradition of tea ceremony. The Urasenke Foundation of Hawai'i and Omotesenke Hawaii Shibu arranges special classes for public to learn about the intricacy of the ceremony and its significance in Japanese culture.

The Gift shop is the perfect way to bid adieu to the place as you shop for Japanese artefacts including Geisha statues, beautiful porcelain plates, Bonsai plants and Koi-fish decor items.

When in the Honolulu, don't miss out on any trending exhibitions held here.

Japanese Cultural Center Of Hawaii, Honolulu Reviews

Google+
  • Highly educational and enlightening experience. Was amazed to learn of the slavery in Hawaii and the mis-treatment of the people. Everyone on the island should visit this eye&heart opening museum.

  • Went to a work sponsored conference. Lots of good food and great service. Free validated parking. Not so good for taller vehicles

  • Lots of parking. Great food. Excellent service.

  • Was stuck in the parking structure for 30 minutes. Cashier didnt have enough change, and event coordinators didnt tell us that we would have to pay for parking after it was validated.

  • I attended a credit union function here with my sister. Could'nt wait to enter the buffet line. The food selections were great! They served this cake for desert that was excellent! The room was nice, but a little on the "chilly" side. The staff was friendly and very on top of their job.
