Easily confused with the Alapena falls, the Kapena Falls’ small height (around 20-30 feet) is a quick-stop while sightseeing around Honolulu.
The same waterfall was featured on the hit television series ‘Lost’ and even though not a popular place, the Kapena Falls has still made its mark in Hollywood!
Many people like to cliff-jump to the pool below but for others, the place is more charming in photos and to walk around the forested area.

Kapena Falls Reviews & Ratings
Beautiful sight! Great for pictures and swimming! Just be careful! Rocks are very slippery and the water is murky. Also if you're trying to have some peace and quiet the road is right above the waterfall and that might be an issue for you.
Great adventurous hike! Bring bug spray in this area. This area was used as a film location in the hit TV show LOST for various scenes involving hikes through the jungle. Used in the episodes "Exodus" in season 1, "Maternity Leave" and "Live Together, Die Alone" in season 2, "What Kate Does" and "Lighthouse" from season 6.
Cool little short hike hidden in town.
A fun, short little hike.
Beautiful! But take bug spray!!
