This beautiful recreation area is famous for numerous hiking trails. All these trails are moderately difficult and not recommended for small children. You can get the map of trails from the office or you can opt for a local guide. Most of the trails are through the valley and forest area is quite dense. So, you either have to climb up or down. There aren’t plain terrains here which makes the trails difficult. You also get to cross small streams on many trails. All these things make this a paradise for hikers.

Nice hike, but don't use your favorite pair of shoes. You will regret it. If you love the nature and adventures then just go for it.
Beautiful area! I wanted a quick hike just to get some energy out but ended up taking longer than I had planned because of the true beauty in nature! 10/10 definetly recommend!
The trail which we took was very easy to do yet enjoyable hiking with my family. It was safe enough for a 6 year old grandson and a couple of older adults. The trail was short and comfortable considering a mild uphill. The only discouraging part of the hike was the stinch odor of poop and odor of squatters or homeless camps upon arriving and leaving the area. The rest of the forest was peaceful with haunting songs from birds of different species. Great hike. Thank you.
This is a great trail for the family. Various slopes at different areas. Beautiful throughout this rich, forested valley and ridges right in the middle of Honolulu. Will do this hike again and again.
Good place to hick. I go there ever Sundays.
