The Mu Ryang Sa Buddhist Temple takes its name from the broken ridge that forms the roof of the temple.
During its construction in 1980, the temples roof exceeded the limits of the City and County hall and hence the ridge was broken- giving the temple its iconic name. In Buddhism the incident reflected the need to shatter once Ego, Greed and Ignorance to finally obtain Nirvana. The interiors of the temple invite you with a stunning array of colors, art and décor.
The highlight however is the Bell tower and the 'Hall of Great Hero' (popular for the three statues of Buddha, Ananda and Mahakasyapa.
When here don't forget to see The Garden of Ji Jang Bosal, where 1080 small miniature figurines of monks make for quiet a sight!

The temple was so beautiful. There wasn't anyone around when I visited except for a person or 2. It was perfect to visit. The grounds are so meditative as you walk around and inside the temples are jaw dropping. Was a very spiritual visit.
