The Waliana Coffee House is one of the best breakfast places in Honolulu. They serve some of the best pancakes here. You will literally adore the coconut pancakes once you taste them. This place also has a variety of food to offer. You can try some of their local dishes which are equally ravishing and worth the price. The ambience of this place is cozy and welcoming. The service provided here is great. Overall it is worth giving a shot.

Wailana Coffee House Reviews & Ratings

  • Nice place to have breakfast or your morning coffee. Relaxed atmosphere. My friend and I had only coffee during the very busy breakfast hours. We were never made to feel that we needed to order a meal. There is a small lounge and a daily happy hour. Not sure about weekend happy hour.

  • We ate breakfast here three of the seven mornings we were in Honolulu! Try the all-you-can-eat pancakes. Buttermillk pancakes are standard, but you can order the specialty ones for about $1 more and try as many flavors as you wish. Banana, macadamia nut, coconut, pineapple, blueberry- all were delicious. They also have a variety of syrups. Pro tip- it is very crowded most of the morning, but if you are willing to sit at the bar you can usually get a seat very quickly. Service is pretty quick, but even more so at the bar. Prices are very reasonable. Convenient location directly across the street from Hilton Hawaiian Village and several other hotels. Enjoy!

  • Iconic restaurant at the western “gateway” to Waikiki. Heard they were going to close in September so made our way there to have one last dining experience. In any case, it was a great trip down memory lane and glad we did it. Food isn’t terrible (we had breakfast), and the service is efficient and friendly. One thing they need to fix if they are to remain open is the deliver of food from the kitchen to the diner’s table. It was disconcerting to see servers stacking plate (outgoing to customers) on each other so that the bottom of some plates were sitting squarely on the food that was on the lower plate...very disgusting. Just keep an eye on how your meal is delivered to your table...who knows what those fingers, thumbs, and plate bottoms have come into contact with before touching your food. The rating of “3” reflects the plate handling. IF not for that, I’d have rated at a “4”.

  • I am so sorry to hear this place is closing. We stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian Village and enjoyed our meal here. If you're reading reviews, don't bother..just go. There's few places like this coffee house within walking distance.

  • Service was good, food was not. I’m thinking it’s best they close up. Food is nowhere near as good as say 5 years ago. My omelette was dry and lacked any flavor. Aloha wailana coffee shop
