Hopatcong State Park Reviews & Ratings

  • This is the first time my family I have visited this park. The park was very nice and clean. You can swim, cook and fish there. We took off on a Friday and spent the day there. Great decision 😁.

  • Overall, it is good place to visit however the entrance gate work person is not at all.... I just move into NJ from NY 2days ago , so I didn't have time to change my license yet.... I brought my apt. Lease showing the proof that I am NJ resident but the gate worker keep saying I have to pay out of state parking fee of $20($10 for NJ resident).... and also facility is limited to use.......... nice weather n beautiful day ruined by one person

  • Everyone is so nice. We launch our waverunner here. Every single person is pleasant and helpful. They tell us every single day about the algae issue and warnings of the water problems. That cant be fun explaining that to everyone but they handle like a pro

  • Was hoping there'd be more hiking and walking to do here but there really isn't. There's one trail behind the picnic area and although it's a nice one, it's very, very short. There's a large picnic area with grills available. There's a basketball court, a jungle gym for kids, the lake, restrooms, and a small food kiosk near the lake. The lake sometimes is closed to swimmers (bacteria, maybe), but always open to boaters with no bodily contact to the water.

  • Very pretty. Nice beach & grassy area always being enjoyed by community.Even with the red algae ordeal this summer it has not dismayed locals from enjoying griing out, running playing games, enjoying dogs & playing in beach sand. We are still BOATING and love the LAKE LIFE!
