  • If you are flying from the south terminal at Gatwick, LGW, when Hilton Gatwick is a great choice. It is a 10 minute walk from the airport and has early breakfast and a good executive lounge with a good evening offering on both food and drinks. They also have a good bar and restaurant at the lobby level and down there you also find a small gym. The breakfast is nice and you will find everything you expect on a British breakfast table. If you book early then the prices are often reasonable.

  • Very clean, amazing breakfast and staff. You can't get more convenient than down the hall from the airport and train station. Make sure you appreciate the staff - they do a great job even with the massive throughput of this hotel.

  • Fantastic warm welcome at reception. Clear instructions to their facilities. Well stocked executive lounge. Lovely room, plenty of space. So easy for an overnight before flying from Gatwick as directly connected to the South Terminal.

  • The room on the ground floor was convenient and comfortable, but the water pressure in the shower was very low and the water was cold. It was also obvious that when the toilet was flushed in the adjoining room, the shower lost all hot water. The shaver socket made a worrying crackling sound, the bathroom light was flickering and the off button on the TV remote didn't work. One of the towels was stained. Overall, the attention to detail was lacking. When we raised these points at reception, we were offered an upgrade on our next booking, but we weren't convinced that anything would be done about the problems - nobody wrote notes or asked for more details.

  • Very quick and easy check-in, lovely executive lounge, overall great stay. Everything was very clean. The only draw back was the bed being a bit too hard to sleep really comfortably. There was also no hair dryer in the room, but they probably could have provided that with a phone call.
