Isle Royale Houghton Visitor Center Reviews & Ratings

  • Well thought out Visitor Center with plenty of parking for us since the Ranger III was not yet running. Not sure how it would be when it is. Interesting video and some nice information. Rangers on duty were informative and well versed in the Park and talked about the area and the park. We did not go to the actual park since it was early in the season and snowing. But they gave us options if we did want to head out there.

  • Great view super helpful staff. The best Isle Royale merchandise by far. Awesome location.

  • Great place to start your voyage. When planning your visit here you need to know that they are not open on Sunday. I wish I had known that.

  • Great place to get information regarding a journey to Isle Royale National Park. The staff was friendly and informative, and there were plenty of wares to commemorate your adventures, be it a trip to the island or a drive to Houghton. This is a must-stop.

  • The visitors center is at the dock where you board the Ranger III to the Island. Well informed staff happy to help with your needs.
