Galleria Mall - Review

The Galleria Mall in Houston is a huge tourist attraction. The mall sees more than 26 million visitors every year. This popularity makes it one of the most important tourist attractions in the city.

Any brand or mark or store you are looking for, you will be able to find it at the Galleria mall or just the Galleria, as it is referred to as. With several restaurants, shops and kiosks it is a favorite hangout spot for tourists and locals alike. The brightly lit and neatly arranged mall has a bit of something for everyone.

There is a lot to see do and explore here in this typical image of an American mall. However, do not go on a Sunday or a holiday as malls tend to get very crowded at those times. There are often live music events and concerts held at the mall too.

  • The stores are well kept. Employees realize that they will always be busy and provide great customer service. There is plenty to do here and security is great. There is an ice rink in the food court area which is always a great day to spend time with children. There is a rain forest cafe the service is amazing! My husband and I enjoy going to galleria to walk around and window shop.

  • The stores are awesome and the atmosphere was pretty relaxing. The only downside that I experienced was the family lounge restroom by the Pay less store. You would think a great store you would expect a great and accommodating restroom but no it was not. Two single restroom and a long line of people waiting and sitting. The lounge area smelled horrible and the restroom was looking like how it smelled. To top it off the custodian was in the lounge on her phone the whole time not even attempting to clean. The restrooms at the movie theaters are way better than this one. Like a said great mall just this specific restroom area sucked.

  • Lots of nice shops in this mall. Actually I was surprised at the good mix of national, regional local retailers. We did some shopping at Macy's and Clark's. It was overall a much more pleasant experience than I expected. The parking garages were fairly easy to navigate too!

  • Very nice mall! Some of the bathrooms could be a little cleaner. Lots of store options. You cam literally spend 2 days at this mall shopping at every store. Will definitely be coming back to shop! A must visit if visiting Houston area.

  • If you have never been...it’s definitely something everyone should experience at least once. It is like the mecca of shopping, with every brand and retailer you could dream of. Because it is so huge, it is very easy to get lost and frustrated. This is not somewhere you can just pop in quickly since it’s likely the two stores you need are about a mile apart and on different levels, and you probably parked at the parking garage that is not near either of them. The parking, maps and signage are basically no help and will probably make you even more frustrated (also by this time you are probably being sprayed with perfume and having your hair straightened by two kiosk merchants who never asked you if that was ok). You will not find your car on the first, second, and probably even third try and will panic that it has been stolen. Relax, it hasn’t (most likely). You will just need divine intervention or to hire Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys to find your car. So just be sure to keep any other plans for the day flexible to account for the miles of power walking and detective work you’ll be doing and for the probability that you’ll cancel all plans for the rest of the day because you’ve just had a mental breakdown. Otherwise, place is great if you love shopping and have the funds to do so without wallowing in shame and regret when you get home and realize what you’ve done. It’s very clean and well-kept with a great assortment of brands, just be prepared :)
