The Huay Mongkol Temple complex is located around 15 kilometres west of Hua Hin. It is known for its enormous statue of Luang Phor Thuad, one of Thailand’s most famous monks. The statue is 12 meters high and 10 meters wide and is set on a large mound.

Trivia: There are huge wooden elephants on either side of the statue. It is said that if you walk in circles under the belly of the elephants, you attract good luck! Worth a try.
