How to Reach Huangshan

HOW TO GET TO HUANGSHAN

  • By Air: The Huangshan Airport is located within the Tunxi district and there are frequent domestic flights to Huangshan from Beijing, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Hefei, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Chongqing. There is also an international flight to Seoul, South Korea.
  • By Bus: There are two major bus stations in Huangshan, one in the city centre and the other at the foot of yellow mountain scenic area. There are connections to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Mt. Jiuhua, Jingdezhen, Hui-Hang national highways. The buses to Huangshan run from major Chinese cities like Hangzhou Ningbo, Shanghai, Wuhan, Jingdezhen, Suzhou, Wenzhou, and Hefei.
  • By Train: The Huangshan train station is located in Qianyuan Bei Lu, downtown Tunxi District. There are many trains to and from Jiangxi province, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hefei, Jingdezhen, Nanchang, Xiamen and Fuzhou.
  • By Ship: Another unique but slower way of getting to Huangshan city is by hopping on a cruise from Sichuan or Hubei Provinces that take you to Guichi city. There is a bus service from Guichi city to Huangshan City.

HOW TO GET AROUND HUANGSHAN

  • By City-Bus: There are around 20 bus lines in the Huangshan City and city bus is a good mode of Huangshan City transportation.
  • By Train: Although expensive, you can hire a taxi to get around the Huangshan City as well as to get to the major tourist attractions.
  • By Rickshaw: This is a cheaper way to get around the downtown area as well as the ancient Tunxi district.
