Catedral de Huánuco is a religious building that follows the Latin or the Roman rites and whose original building is said to have been built in the year 1618. However, the old building was demolished and a new cathedral was built in its place. The Church has a contemporary infrastructure but has been able to retain that traditional spirit. The architecture and the paintings inside are exceptionally impressive. Cathedral de Huánuco is noted for the bell tower that resembles crossed hands.
