Mansfield Dam Park, Austin Reviews
There’s no true protection for your personal belongings once you hit the water. Unfortunately the place is always overcrowded on the weekends. It’s a little frustrating when you come back to your truck side swiped and when you Bring it to the “authorities “ attention, the Problem isn’t taken seriously (as he jokes with his buds) the problem has yet to be resolved. However the police on the water are quick to pass out unnecessary tickets to my fellow boaters and we deal with constant harassment. Another “BIG” thing to note is One of the authority figures actually followed my wife AND CHILDREN into the Bathroom even though he’s a male and so was my child. You can’t make this stuff up. It’s unfortunate because this place USED to be nice now it seems a place to for constant harassment. We just want to have fun. But this is not the place anymore. Garbage.
it is a good place, but never try swimming I did swim and my foot is hurt by glasses under water and closed to water they are taking $15 per car entrance but they should keep them clean from the glasses that hurt foots
This is a good park, the kids had fun. We paid $15 for the entrance. It gets very crowded so even if you pick a nice spot, you may not feel isolated at all...
Really cool place with excellent views. They provide life jackets for kids in the park. $10 per vehicle to get into the park, you can swim there! If you're just going for the view don't bother going into the park, turn left and enjoy the view!!!
Nice place to visit on a bike, once you're here. Little bit treacherous biking on 620, but worth it. Great views.
