MacArthur Park, originally referred to as Westlake Park is a beautiful park that dates back to the late 19th century and offers a variety of recreational opportunities for all. The park is divided into two by the Wilshire Boulevard wherein the southern portion consists primarily of a lek while the northern portion comprises of soccer fields, bandshell, amphitheatre, playground for the children, recreation centre and more. The MacArthur Park has been used as a filming location for several movies and on this day is frequented by people who wish to sit back, relax, enjoy a picnic or spend an eventful day with the family. The lake is the major attraction which appears exceptionally beautiful against the backdrop of the city skyline.
