Established in 1985, the Birla Science Centre accommodates a museum, science centre, planetarium, a dinosaur exhibit and an art gallery and offers a complete learning experience to science lovers and young, curious minds.
You will often come across a seminar or exhibit here that keeps in time with international scientific pursuits and findings- the latest discovery of Dark Matter, Black holes and String theory being a favourite conversation.
The Dinosaurian is the latest addition to the museum that showcases a 160-million-year-old fossil of Kotasaurus yamanpalliensis discovered in Telangana by GSI. Other dinosaur fossils of eggs, fossilised marine shells and tree trunks- all add to the geological and paleontological exhibits. The planetarium is another one of the highlights of the place and includes a show everyday that takes you closer to our perception of the universe.
