Charminar, Hyderabad Reviews

  • If you are in Hyderabad and missed to visit this iconic monument, then you have for sure missed out the jewel. Well, this is an old monument with a lot of history and legends attached to it, it is located in the heart of the center city with busy shopping market in the surrounding. There is a small entry fee to enter the monument and kids are free. When we visited the monument was under maintenance especially the four pillars, which is a good sign to protect and maintain it. I am not sure if you get a local guide, but it is a not a huge one, you can always gather information online and read the boards in the monument display. I would highly recommend one visiting this structure and get a feel for great design and presence of history in this 21st century. Tips for Travelers: Located in the heart of the city and busy market area there is a very limited parking, but you should get your way. They charge Rs 20/hour and you can easily cover the monument in less than an hour. There are steep steps inside to climb the monument, so be prepared for some heavy breathing. The light inside the stair is minimum too. There is a good marketplace in adjacent streets for Pearls and Bangles especially.

  • It was a wonderful place which is middle of the Hyderabad. Basically there is nothing to be excited and the person who are there they use to charge for going up on stairs . That I felt completely useless to go up . Basically there is nothing but yes if you are traveling for the first time you can have the glance . If you are a Indian nationality then the relate of the ticket is very cheap but if you are outside of India then the rate is very high ₹200. The next street linked with the Charminar is the bangles shop, one of the famous thing in Hyderabad. Must visit but there shopkeeper will call you in every shop. And that full area is Muslims area .

  • The iconic Charminar is where Hyderabad can be savored in all its authentic beauty. The shops around it are bustling with activity and crowd and yet there's a sense of tranquility. Its surroundings are being improved as is the structure that is undergoing renovations. The shops/stalls are not on the road and though they occupy the footpaths, still provide enough way to wade through the street. But this should be improved to give more way for the pedestrians. The cleanliness is ok.

  • A historical place in the heart of the city, Hyderabad. The monument is under renovation and shall be completed by February 2018. Ethnic diversity is seen here, Indian culture. A lot of shops for traditional clothing are located nearby in large number on roads connecting from four directions, at least about in a length of 150 m. Place remains full of visitors and vehicles passing by are also in large number. Traffic congestion is obvious here. Public toilet, gender friendly are available here. Temple and mosque are placed almost together. The monument and locality building construction is a marvel in terms of stone structures.

  • An awesome place to see in's was an historical palce in the world.. Besides the Charminar bangles shops are most famous to buy some many shops for bangles only different types of bangles we should see.. Especially for women so many types we can buy their like hand bags , dresses, slippers etc..It's was nice experience while seeing Charminar..New visitors of Hyderabad you have to see...
