This landmark of Hyderabad is the jewel in the crown of this city of pearls. This milestone was built by Mohammed Quli qutub Shah, the founder of Hyderabad. Built in the 16th century, this glorious tower has four graceful minarets and has 45 prayer spaces and an alluring mosque inside. The beautiful building is illuminated in the evenings and this historical structure is always surrounded by hustle-bustle of tourists and localities.
The adjoining Laad bazaar is famous for colourful shopping and is a shopping centre of the old city. Charminar, Hyderabad Reviews
Really nice place to visit if you're anywhere nearby. The two main structures are a great example of middle-eastern vibe architecture and are really nice to look at. Even better is being able to see the bustle of store keeper and shoppers/visitors walking down the streets. Great place to buy Bangles at a cheap price. Only issue is that the roads are dirty (look down as you walk) and pickpockets
Beautiful Charminar, once heart of city is now widely known tourist attraction. It used to be surrounded by traffic before, but now they have blocked the entry of vehicles, also created walk way circling around it, so now monument can be properly viewed and visited by people. Only if the street hawkers, wanderer n sellers are removed it will be very nice for people visiting. Must place to visit. Very beautiful.
Such a beauty 😍 visit during nights you will find the real beauty of this historical monument must visit place at Hyderabad and street shopping is often fun first building in Hyderabad, his new capital. Over the years, it has become a signature monument to and an iconic symbol of the city’s heritage. He commemorate the end of the plague by building a mosque, which became known as Charminar because of its four towering and distinctive minarets, one on each of the building’s four corners. It formed the centrepiece around which Hyderabad Bazaar—adjacent to the Charminar—which is famed for its traditional lacquer bangles studded with coloured glass and stones.
One of few monuments to visit in Hyderabad. The environment around is good. You will find shops and vendors for various items including Bangles or Jewellery. Pearls are very famous here. You will find natural pearls here. Beware, they all will try to dupe you. It shouldn't be more costlier than ₹200 per gram.
charminar is historic. but not maintained properly. its overcrowded with shops and people.. writings all over the wall.. if they maintain the monument making a peaceful atmosphere near it.. it will be lovely.. already it has many visitors.. just imagine how more beautiful it may be
