It should be preserved like heritage, not next-door tourist place. It has history. The landmark has become a global icon of Hyderabad, listed among the most recognized structures of India. The structure is made of granite, limestone. We reach here by taxi and faced very congested roads. there was a ticket to enter. We climbed up to the first floor and one can overlook Hyderabad city from here. a view is really good. what disturbed me, people have no civic sense when they do visit monument like this. it represents India on the world map. but they do graffiti on walls, will even spit in corners. and there are so many encroachments surrounding this. Hawkers-stalls will make walk very difficult. I am not comparing to any other country but we can make it cleaner. Still, it is very beautiful monument regardless which religion built this.
One of the nice and historical places which you should be visiting in your life time to be sure. But it should be more clean and there should be some solution for the huge traffic all around. Govt should have taken care of all these things. View of mosque from one of the window is awesome.
Beautiful icon of Hyderabad. 4 star because of it's maintenance work is so sluggish that I couldn't see it through without bamboos from last one year. If you want to see peacefully, try to reach before 10am. Lightened Charminar also good to see in night time from outside.
Not that much attractive place in Hyderabad although its too famous place. Dirty area around the monument. Need more care & effort to develop the historical place. But best place to shopping, if you know Bergen then please go to this place. Older people, please take comfort foot wears to walk in market areas.
Identical Monument, when we call of Hyderabad.. Look at the encroachment. Please take leaf from European or far east monumental places. How clean & well maintained. Only to bark at governments will not work. It is how we love & want to keep in which status.
