Covering an area of 76 acres, the Indira Park was established in 1975 and was inaugurated by Late Faqruddin Ahmed, a former president of India. The park opened its doors in 1978 and since then, has welcomed locals and foreigners alike. The beautiful trees grown and cared for here- including precious Sandal-wood trees, Mango trees, Jamun trees, Aloe Vera plantations, Rose gardens and beautiful Date palms – all bear fruits to this day and give a rather homely feel to the park.

The musical fountain and waterfalls add to the park’s serene charm while boating at the pond is something no visitor must miss!

Other highlights include:

  • Natural living rock sanctuary that includes rock sculptures.
  • Mini toy train for children.
  • New jet fountain

The place has an on-ground canteen and drinking water facility too.

  • If you are in the mood of a small picnic, don’t forget to carry refreshments.

  • It's a good park for a walk and chit chat with friends. I wish there was a good restaurant to sit just like Deer park has. I understand it's VIP area so such restaurant would have been the best idea for many prospects. Don't visit the park in hot weather as you won't get anything there. Better you visit in nice weather, morning walk or evening walk only. You can get water, cold drinks by some guys roaming there for the facility. They also say that they'll get food for you with extra charges. Take risk at your own! I had a great time indeed.

  • Healthiest weather .if anybody needs peace then visit after 10am. Other wise crowd is high with the people who practice here running, high jump, long jump. It very help full for students also

  • Nice park for people living around. A good thing is that it is free for people who want to have a morning walk. The temple in the park is also nice.

  • It is a very good place to get a Natural Freshness in a metropolitan city like Hyderabad. This place is perfect for the Morning Walk. The Morning Walk timings is from 5 to 8 AM (free). After 8AM they charge you an entry fee of ₹10/- The main defects here are the water in the lake is so dirty and there are many broken benches in this park.

  • For couples to massage each others bodies behind bushes and on benches. Not for singles and family people with kids. The sweet shop next to it is GOLD though.
