Karmanghat Hanuman Temple - Review
Dating back to the 12th century, the Karmanghat Hanuman Temple holds its roots in a legend. The story goes that a Kakatiya king was hunting in the forest and when he took rest underneath the shade of a tree, he heard someone chanting ‘Lord Ram’. The voice seemed to be coming from an idol of Hanuman- the monkey god. The King returned to his palace and that night dreamt of Lord hanuman who asked the king to build a temple.
The Kaktiya kingdom successfully survived for 400 years after the construction of this Hanuman temple until Aurangazeb attacked the whole area. The temple however was inaccessible to Aurangzeb’s army and they could not even cross the compound wall. Aurangzeb climbed the compound wall with a crow bar and as he reached the top of the wall, there was an intense roar that made him retreat. The voice echoed that if the king wanted to break the temple, he had to have a strong heart- literally translating to ‘kar-man-ghat’. The name stayed throughout history and even today many people com here to worship Lord Anjaney and to meditate in the peaceful environment near the pond. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Hyderabad itinerary 3 days.

Karmanghat Hanuman Temple, Hyderabad Reviews
Old and famous for the devotees. People come far off places visit and have darshan of Hanuman. Believed as most powerful and kind god. Spacious temple complex. Too crowded of Saturdays. Must visit place ... and stay inside temple complex peacefully.
The Karmanghat Hanuman Temple is one of the oldest and popular Hindu temples in Hyderabad Very powerful & historical temple When a KAKATIYA king went hunting and was resting under a tree, he heard the chanting of Lord RAMA'S name. Wondering who it was in the middle of a dense forest, he discovered a stone idol of Lord Hanuman, in seated posture and the voice coming from the vigraha. Having paid his respects, he returned to his capital, and that night, Lord appeared in his dream and asked him to construct a temple The temple was built immediately and successive kings ruled it well
