Lumbini Park - Review
As a part of the urban development program in Hyderabad, the Lumbini Park (known as T Anjaiah Lumbini Park- named after the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh), is where locals go to unwind and see a spectacular 3D laser show. The Musical fountains that spring to life post sunset are also something that people of all ages enjoy. Add to that the sheer lush greenery of the park itself along with a serene view of the Hussain Sager lake and you have one of the most popular picnic places in town. If you are up for it, you can go boating at the lake to see the Buddha statue placed in the middle of the water body or simply take an afternoon stroll admiring the gorgeous flowers that adorn the whole park! Lumbini Park, Hyderabad Reviews
Lovely place to hang out with friends and family. Lot of fun activities available for kids and adults. We tried couple of rides which reminds me of my childhood. Been there with kids and they enjoyed a lot as lot of rides available for them along with eatables available near by. We tried speed boat which cost some where around rs 350 for 4 person and it was a lovely experience. Ferries are also available at cheap rates. It also offer family package for boating . Ice cream parlour, eatables and garden all under one roof, what else can u expect from a place.
A very good park in a pristine location, it also provides boat ride to the Buddha Statue in the pond. You can also book a smaller boat for 4 people for a ride with a customized route. The rides are in very good condition and he Laser Show nearby is very famous. Although the food court here is a bit pricey according to its quality.
Developed in 1994 by the Hyderabad Urban Development Authority, Lumbini Park has been named after birthplace of Lord Buddha. Located quite close to the Hussain Sagar Lake, it is one of the popular tourist spots of Hyderabad. The giant clock designed with varied kinds of captivating flowering plants, which you see at the entrance is one of the prime attractions of the park. The musical fountain and the laser show here mustn’t be missed. Another key feature of Lumbini Park is its rich flora. It is open from 9 am to 9 pm on every day of the week, except on Mondays
Its a place for the weekend....there are boating facilities for every1 and kids can entertain themselves with few rides ( not like the rides in wonder la). One can also enjoy the laser show which will b in the evening. Entry fee is a must for everyone. Then there will be different fees for different rides.... best part is the boat ride to the Buddha statue..... one can carry camera if needed...... NOTE: EVENING IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT IT
