The very tunnel was built in the year 1995. In the location of Haugsdalen, the tunnel gives away narrow lanes.  There are three sections of long lanes allotted for this bridge tunnel. But the route is for cars, buses and other vehicles only. Cyclists and pedestrians are not allowed to use this tunnel.
