There are almost 3,000 burial tombs inside this the graveyard right in the middle of a busy city. It's one of the oldest remnants of civilization on the island, with some graves dating back to 700 BC. Those were the times of the Phoenicians and the Punics. It’s an easy tour. Just follow the path into the hill’s burial caverns. You’re allowed to go into the roughly 340 caves open to the public. There is also a small museum on site with some artefacts from the necropolis taken out and put on display. These include amulets and terracotta figurines.
