Though a lot of families and couples enjoy this beach it is actually a great place to relax. The green shrouded cliffs on its either side shelter the golden sands and clean blue water really well. Watersports (water-skiing, windsurfing, banana boats) and beach sports (volleyball and football) are both excellent. Shopping around the beach’s resort area is great too - restaurants, bars, a supermarket and a number of souvenir shops. The Port Balansat is supposed to be the best seafood restaurant on the island.

Want to find a hidden gem? Follow the road on the right side of the bay up to the dripstone caves of Cuevas Can Marça, where guides will take you through fantastically shaped stalagmites and stalactites, a light and sound show, and an ancient smuggler’s route. The views of the bay from the entrance are jaw-dropping too.

Behind the beach is the Port de Sant Miguel, a fishermen’s village transformed into a beach resort. Shops, bars, restaurants and apartments at the resort cater to the visitors of the beach. Cliff steps lead up to some pretty good vantage points. The best of these can be found if you climb the hills northeast of the port. The historic 1763 watch tower Torre des Molar (a.k.a Torre de Balansat) can be found there. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Ibiza itinerary 5 days.
