Though most people come to visit here for the church, the village is quite a charming place too. It’s so small that it’s more hamlet than village, with a market, bars, restaurants, cafes and some houses. In a sense, this place is most representative of what life in Ibiza is really like now. It’s as unlike the tourist areas as could be. Citrus trees grow wild, the earth is a rich red color, and the pine tree countryside is a bright green. The church itself is from 1812, and is known for a sculpture called ‘Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary’. It’s not as pretty as some of the other churches in Ibiza but it fits right into the surroundings.
