Sternwarte Norderney is a landmark and a very popular observatory that is said to have been built somewhere between 1962 and 1964. It was built by Wilhelm Dorenbusch and offers visitors the chance to be enchanted by the night sky filled with stars. The main goal of the observatory is to promote and nurture astronomy with the members there sharing their knowledge, experiences, advices and giving lectures to the visitors. Guided tours are offered from the month of march to October and gives people the chance to get a bit closer to the spectacular world of stars.
