This is a multipurpose stadium in Downtown Indianapolis that replaced the RCA Dome to become the home field of the NFL’s Indianapolis Colts. The museum has a record of hosting a number of important tournaments.
The museum was inaugurated and opened in 2008 with a purpose to expand the Indianapolis Convention Center that is also a part of the campus. A very popular title given to this field is “The house that Manning built” after the name of the famous player Peyton Manning.
The design of the stadium is a blend of native and kinetic elements of architecture. The native part is evident from the reddish brown look of the exterior that has been made with local limestone like many other old buildings of the city. The kinetic part makes the museum scientifically better with retractable roofs and the indoor- outdoor grounds.
Some of the important matches played here include semi finals and final rounds of Men’s Final Four 2010, Big Ten Football Championship Game 2011, part of the International Champions Cup 2013, Drum Corps Championship, Bands of America Grand National Championship, etc.

Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis Reviews - Write a Review
Visited Lucas Oil Stadium for an Indianapolis Colt's game and was not disappointed! Entry staff/security was friendly even in the cold blowing rain. Inside was clean and restrooms were very well kept! Food/beer service was pretty quick in relation to other stadiums I've been to.
Excellent stadium. I love attending football games here. Great layout. Easily accessible restrooms. Never seems over crowded. Great security.
My first experience at Lucas Oil Stadium was about a month ago. This stadium is well kept and architecturally fascinating! I like how the roof is retractable and we were fortunate enough to be down there when it was open and got a pretty good shot of downtown. We also got to see the new Peyton statue which is in the picture.
Awesome stadium! Best in the NFL! Great seats everywhere. Service is fast. Restrooms not so fast but there are thousands of people there.
Plenty of restroms and concession stands. Seating pretty comfortable as far as stadiums go. Beautiful facility. Wondering why its so drafty in here though. I thought domes were climate controlled. Its actually cold in here.
