PatalPani Waterfall, Indore Reviews

  • A very nice place for a picnic near by Indore. Earlier there used to be no maintenance and facilities from government and also there was no restriction or blockade to waterfall allowing people roam in between water and rocks resulting many mishaps and deaths in past. But now a days there is very well developed area where one can sit and see the beauty of falls. Railway station of same name is also nearby and is situated on meter gauge railway line which is scheduled to be converted soon in coming years.

  • Patalpani is a waterfall, close to Indore city. It is a popular picnic spot where local people use to visit on holidays. It location is 35kms south-west of Indore city. Many people visits this place in week-ends. Here waterfall height is approx. 150 feet and becomes photogenic in rainy season when waterfall receives adequate rainy water and fall is in its full strength. Being a seasonal waterfall, it gives serious surprise of water in rainy season due to which many accidents took place in this fall. As located in down-flow, in monsoon season, due to rainfall in nearby areas, here waterflow suddenly increases, giving no time for rescue so it is suggested to view from distance. This place is good for adventure lovers as it gives some scope to adventure activities.

  • It's the best time to get here after the monsoon..You can plan a picnic here with your family and with your friends.I think the government should work more for development here. There are frequent accidents here so you have to walk carefully here. You have to take a train from nearest station or a rental/personal vehicle to reach here. I like Everything of Patalpani except this, There is no facility to stay here in bad weather.

  • Not a place to visit in summer time. Fully dry environment. Nothing to see at here.

  • nice place to visit between july to october. the waterfalls give a spectacular view.
