The double hulled catamaran boats make for a smooth ride on Loch Ness. From the top deck you have a clear, 360 degree view of the lake. Beautiful at sunset. as part of a one day tour into the Scottish scenery. Highlight was exploring the ruins of Urquhart Castle on the shore of Loch Ness. Alas Nessie was not to be seen but the entire family enjoyed the tour.
The Temptation tour that my partner and I went on earlier today was absolutely brilliant. The bus ride to the boat was directed by Ian who gave us a warmly welcome and provided an amazing history on Inverness and its surroundings. The boat ride offered a wide array of snacks and drinks and also a knowledgeable commentary on Loch Ness. We then disembarked the boat to explore the amazing Urquhart Castle for all that it offered. The history and scenery provided by the castle is breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour to all who wish to visit both Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle.
Nice experience, Alan our driver from Inverness was extremely friendly and funny, we learn a lot from him about places around Inverness. But when we arrived in Urquhart Castle it is became a bit of a run, it is nice but to much people at the same time in the Castle and we had only 55 minutes to discover.
Spent a great hour with the family on the twelve o’clock tour on 28th December. The crew were very welcoming and friendly. The facilities were excellent although the seats on the top deck were wet and could have been better prepared for the guests. My wife enjoyed the special hot chocolate drink and the bar was well supplied with a good range of refreshments. All of us enjoyed the information and stories shared by the crew. I think we learned some interesting bits of information. We did not spot Nessie but we did get great views of the Lock and the sites along the shore. The time passed quickly and we were soon delivered safely back to the base. The cafe was warm and well stocked with food and shop had a wide range of souvenirs. A really memorable excursion . Well worth the money.
Have been twice. Cruise on Loch plus exploring Castle Urquhart. Good informative commentary. Take warm clothing, even in summer - the wind off the loch is freezing.
