Ipoh Railway Station - Review
As you begin getting around Ipoh, you will be bestowed with sights that beckon the British colonialism that was once present here. The Ipoh railway station is one of those sights. There are a lot of traces of British Indian colonial architecture in the structure of this attraction. Several movies too have been shot here, with reference to popular culture. A quaint café adorns the entrance of this pleasing architectural sight. Definitely a must-visit if you happen to be in the same area. It is also counted as one of the best things to do in Ipoh with kids. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Ipoh itinerary 1 day.

Ipoh Railway Station, Ipoh Reviews
A historical building. Very beautiful and nice view. Very clean. The toilet is very clean too. There are many chairs for one to seat while waiting for the departure. Very huge area. There were taxi just outside of the building. The car park area is huge and enough for parking. One is allow to drive through just to pick up or to drop passenger.
Sadly the old Majestic Hotel that takes up a good portion of the station is closed and more or less abandoned. The main waiting hall is adequate, in that it more or less has everything one might need. However, this once-beautiful station is far from achieving its full potential...
Very vintage old building and station, fantastic, it look cozy. But inside building look not taking good care maintenance or it not keep it up with modern style. Ipoh need new and better management to attract more tourists.
Is a historic building but it needs maintenance. The waiting area is too small to accommodate passengers. Announcements regarding arrival of trains are done badly too. Passengers constantly have to reconfirm and many have missed the train due to poor announcement regarding the trains.
Beautiful exterior and that's about it. Insufficient seats in the waiting area and long wait for ticket purchase. Announcements are sketchy at best. Can get really chaotic, crowded and stuffy during the weekend. No information counter. There is an online ticker kiosk, however it was unmanned when I was here. Not sure if is meant to be self service. For travelling with ets, definitely recommend to book your ticket online in advanced especially during weekend and school holidays.
