  • Used to be very lively here once. But day by day one shop to another left the scene. Some still stayed. Lately the shops mostly occupied back by new owners. Hopefully the place will fill with joy like it used to be.

  • Nice short walk with double bridge at each end. Have bike rental that can be rent to circle around the river side.

  • When I hear River, my blood flows very fast as It am from Bangladesh and thousands of small to big size rivers are flowing there. Most of Rivers in Malaysia are equal to small canels in Bangladesh. I lived 3 years in Kuantan and Pahang river in Kuantan is a real river. So, you can guess I was a bit disappointed by seeing this river but I know this ia just feature of this country. The bridge is very narrow, after two persons walk side by side, 3rd person can't pass by. There are some activities going on beside the river. Kids, young peoples are riding bicycle, rickshwa, skateboard, etc. Few food shops also available. Other than that, nothing much to do. Well I found mosquitos there at the dawn, which is why I had to come back earlier as I had my 2yr old daughter with me.

  • To see Malaysians of all the 3 races mingling leisurely was very good. There is bicycle rental as well and there are a few small riverfront shoplets open, amongst which is a artist shop with a good display of his drawing. Not all shops are open though.

  • This place remind me Babolsar city north of Iran, where I have many menories
