Fisk Quarry Preserve Reviews & Ratings
Both the Quarry and the Barn/Museum are an amazing journey back 480 million years. This spot is truly a hidden gem in Vermont.
Definitely worth visiting, walking around, marveling and imagining the fossils in the quarry rock. You walk over fossils millions of years old, helpfully encircled by small stones. And the quarry walls are cool in themselves. A great place for reflection.
Pleasant walk around perimeter of quarry. Interesting information about the Chazy Reef. Found several fossils in the exposed bed rock. Lots of turtles, frogs, birdlife, one nice garter snake. Unique flora populating edges of the rock floor.
A bit underwhelming. The fossils were interesting to look at but there are no trails or interpretative features like signs.
480 million year old rock and fossils. Watch for turtles in the quarry pond
