Even though Istanbul is known for its historical beauty and splendor, there are still places that abound with natural grace. The Camlica hill is located on the borders of Üsküdar district, on the Anatolian side of Istanbul, near the first suspension bridge. From the top of this hill, you can enjoy beautiful views of the Bosphorus and the Marmara Sea. Camlica acquires its name from the pine trees that cover the surrounding area. According to the book of Turkish historian Ismail Hakki Konyali, in ancient times Camlica hills was covered with pine trees that were so dense even sunlight could not pierce through them. Truly a wonderful place to visit.
