  • It’s one of the historic places you read about. The view from top is supposed to be amazing but unfortunately we went twice to the tower without going to the top. It was the weekend & there were long queues & as everyone in the group was not keen on waiting... Well, maybe I will visit this beautiful place again. The medieval tower, the Tower of Christ as it is called, is impressive by itself.

  • Really loved it. They even have a 4D experience which was cool. You can see entire Istanbul from here(kind of). At nights they light up the place which I felt was awesome. They have trams connecting from here to Taksim square so it makes it very accessible. Prices could be lower they have different prices for local and foreigners. There is also a restaurant inside the tower but didn’t try it looked fancy though. It can get really crowded and no place to stand up there need to really squeeze in.

  • Come early if you do not want to wait in the long queue. You can take the lift up to level 7. The remaining two levels you have to walk up the stairs. Level 8 has a restaurant and the top level 9 has a cafeteria. The view up here is amazing and magical. Plus you can dress up as an ottoman and queen. It is $5euro and $6US per group photo.

  • Lovely view up on the tower if you are ready to stand in the line for a while. And once you are up there do enjoy a tea in a restaurant which is much more relaxing and spacious. The place where you walk around to take pics may seem a bit tight. It's quite windy which is nice in the summer but bring a scarf or a hat in winter 😉

  • Galata Tower is the highest peak of Istanbul, a must visit! It offers an amazing view of the city of Istanbul. On the top of the tower is a bar where you can enjoy a very good time. If you go there in the summer, I suggest you to go in the night there because the queues are too long and you will be very tired..
