Gulhane Sark Sofrasi, Istanbul Reviews - Write a Review
Simple, but very pleasant place. Excellent food (I was eating Ottoman specialties). The owner is extremely friendly and speaks English well. The waiter was kind and decent. Prices are modest. Carefully selected music. I was served gratis cake and tea. All in all, very nice experience.
Wasnt sure what to make of this place at first. Came across as very touristy and expected bad food and service. However, they kept bringing in free, extremely good meze, and the kebap I had as a main was also very good. The waiters were also really friendly and attentive.
Extremely nice owner and waiters. Food is fresh and very good. If you are in the area, this is probably the best restaurant to go.
A typical tourist trap. They bring you in with words in your own language, serve you more than you ask for and then charge higher than the finest restaurants in Istanbul. Bad quality and very pricey, I would never recommend this place.
Excellent food and excellent service. Tradutional food. Ciya was very helpfull, trust him.
