Built by Sinan who had otherwise also graced the city of Istanbul with his artistic works, the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque inspires awe and reverence not just for faith but also for art as well. Located next to Edirnekapi historic land walls, this mosque was commissioned by Süleyman the Magnificent's favourite daughter, Mihrimah, and was thus named after her. Inside, you will see that the mosque looks radiant wonderfully light and airy interior decked up with delicate stained-glass windows and an unusual 'bird cage' chandelier. Since this mosque is located at the highest point in the city, its dome and one slender minaret add up to the city’s skyline.

Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, Istanbul Reviews - Write a Review
One of Architect Sinan's mosques. It has a lovely story. I really like the domes and it's place near the walls. I've heard there is a twin of it in the anatolian part of İstanbul.
Alhamdulilah Happiness is when your home is next to this mosque I love being in Istanbul and I enjoyed feel full iman praying to this historical mosque
Amazingly beautiful mosque that is in a interesting location. The area seems a bit rough but it's safe. I think this mosque was built, this area was the outskirts of Istanbul. Hence the big historical border wall next to the mosque.
A Token of Love by Mimar Sinan, the design itself is very womanly
Serenely beautiful mosque with lovely stained glass.
