Mihrimah Sultan Mosque - Review
Built by Sinan who had otherwise also graced the city of Istanbul with his artistic works, the Mihrimah Sultan Mosque inspires awe and reverence not just for faith but also for art as well. Located next to Edirnekapi historic land walls, this mosque was commissioned by Süleyman the Magnificent's favourite daughter, Mihrimah, and was thus named after her. Inside, you will see that the mosque looks radiant wonderfully light and airy interior decked up with delicate stained-glass windows and an unusual 'bird cage' chandelier. Since this mosque is located at the highest point in the city, its dome and one slender minaret add up to the city’s skyline. Also, visit the popular attractions in the city by following Istanbul itinerary 7 days.

Mihrimah Sultan Mosque, Istanbul Reviews
Beautiful ottoman mosque built by chief architect Mimar Sinan.
Very close to the Chora Museum and well worth the trip. Fully and beautifully restored and one of Sinan's masterpiecws.
Renovation done and lots it’s charm. Bad renovation
Beautifully restored and maintained mosques and surrounding buildings. I loved the abundance of natural lighting inside and the brilliant colours in the stained glass. It is always an terrific feature when you see the huge pattern in the centre of the main prayer hall carpet, just like Fatih Mosque. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful mosque. Long walk but good stopover on your way to Chora Church.
