Panorama 1453 History Museum, Istanbul Reviews

  • Perfect craftsmanship on the illustrations in the main exhibition. Not bad accessibility, but can be though for the elderly specially with mass transit. Another downside is that it can get crowded rather easily since it is a rather small space placed in the middle of a metropolis of 18+M population. All in all the experience is worth seeing.

  • Unbelievable representation of past. We entered into the building and were going upstairs, as we reached on top, it was just a sound of waooooooo, not just from me but from everyone’s side. It’s unbelievable. Visit of this place must recommended as you will never forget this experience. Turkey is good caring of its past. It’s just great.

  • The Panoramic painting of the conquest of Constantinople was breathtakingly beautiful. An incredible amount of detail with approximately 10,000 individual figures. If you have a Turkish citizenship - you receive a discounted price. They only accept TRY, no USD or Euro, however, do have EFTPOS :)

  • I liked the place and it's idea, but for the audio it is totally bad. It is satisfying, just say something about the photo in front of you and then the image describe some of the blah blah and it doesn't describe it to you. For the panorama, it is totally fascinating, it might be boring for the children but not the panorama. Also besides it the walls of the great castle

  • The location is within a public park, I'm not sure I would have known how to find it alone, maybe using Google I would, but it's not that clearly visible from street. The graphics, the dome, sound effects are more than good. You could understand what happened in the 1453 battle easily, the drawing on the done has very good details. I loved it. If your looking for a historical site, this isn't really historical but would tell you about this specific battle. Worth visiting if you like history and art.
