The Santral Istanbul Museum of Energy is Turkey’s first industrial-archaeology museum. Housed within an actual Power Plant, two engine rooms have been reinforced and converted into the present Museum of Energy. Having retained most of the original fittings and elements, visitors get to see AEG, Brown Boveri, Siemens and Thomson Houston made turbine generators, control devices and equipment and an Energy Play Zone consisting of 22 interactive exhibits. While at the museum, do check out the ‘Reactable’ which is a revolutionary electronic musical instrument.
