What lies in this popular ‘Town Square’ is beautiful elk-antler arches adorning the corners of the park proudly along with a stone memorial of John Colter sitting between its lush green surrounding. Originally an open space in the centre of the town, the place is now considered to be a great natural niche for public to gather for performances and activities held by various groups and artists. Be it the Jackson Hole Shootouts filled with intriguing legends and tell taling stories of shootout gangs taking place in the northeast corner of the park every summer or the enthralling performances of western entertainers packed with music, humor and drama, the place never leaves to enchant it visitors.

  • We were in town for a art vest where local artist were given 90 minutes to paint a piece of art. It was amazing to see the art from start to finish. Each artist with their own techniques and styles was quiet the show to see. After they were done the art was auctioned off. That was fun to watch also. Some of the pieces went for 8,500👍 Wow, right?! Not bad for a ninety minute work day.😁

  • Beautiful place! We went to take a photo in front of the elk antler arches (the one with the camera you can see online) but it was under construction. My fiance and I just got engaged and we wanted to get in front of the one under construction because his parents were watching online. We did our best and stood to the right of the arch since it was under construction. One of the friendly construction workers said we could go ahead and move to the middle part so we did and pur parents were able to see us and get a screenshot. Thanks construction worker!!

  • Jackson Hole is a very beautiful town lots of things to do. Lots of eats famous places to go to. And the backdrop of snow king resort is very beautiful. Everything is in walking distance

  • This is a very relaxed square with its four entry points an arch built of the antlers collected and given to the scouts who got it put together, they are beautifully done and are huge. The square is very shaded by the huge trees growing in it thus making a canopy of shade. It's popular for all to sit around in this area and enjoy some of the entertainment provided.

  • I visited Jackson Square over 40 years ago. While Jackson has become a major tourist attraction they have not changed the town square. I especially like the elk antler arches. And the stage coach ride.
