Perhaps the most famous and exciting event in Haiti from late January through February is Carnival. Carnival is celebrated with parades, pageants, costume balls, and resembles New Orleans Mardi Gras Festival in a major way. It is a time of great fun and revelry, which concludes on Mardi-Gras (Fat Tuesday), and leads into Ash Wednesday, a time of repentance and forgiveness.Other festivals include Drapo Art, Take Action Day, and Krik! Krak! Festival for families.
Haiti offers travelers wonderful opportunities to experience a rich and diverse culture filled with something for people of all ages.
