Owned and operated by British husband and wife team Chris and Andrea Wady, the horses are trained with utmost care and love. They are treated with utmost respect and ridden with loose reins and saddles. Some of these fine animals are rescues which have been retrained to offer safe rides. There are several tour packages and all booking must be done in advance. There is a two and half hour tour which will take you through the jungle spread over 1500 acres of private reserve, where monkeys, coatis, deer, toucans, and macaws keep you company, as you ride into the wildlife!

Though the horses are strong and healthy, the weight limit is 200lb to ensure the horses are comfortable and pain free. The horses are calm, happy and very responsive.

Of the several packages, there is the daily tour which takes you through pristine rain forest. This path leads you to the water fall where you can immerse yourself in a natural spa. The duration of this ride is 2.5 hours and it’s for $65 per person. El Pueblo is a 4.5 hours ride for $110 per person, taking you through stunning vistas, and spectacular views of the river. The Honeymoon Rainforest spa is for $150 for 2.5 hours. You are served tropical fruit salad and champagne, and pampered with a spa treatment. The Beach tour is a full day tour where lunch and drinks are provided, all for $130. There is also a tour which packages all the above tours and you can spend an entire week at Costa Rica and enjoy horse riding every day of the week.

• The tours have groups of 6 people so a lot of personal attention is given.
• Tours include fresh fruit and drinks.
• There is one bilingual native speaking English guide.
• Best to wear long pants, sneakers and to bring sunscreen. If you are on the Jungle Spa ride, wear your bathing suits under your clothes, don't forget your towels.
• They do not accept credit card and cancellation has to be done 24 hours ahead.
• Senior citizens are welcome but they must be able to get on the horse unaided.
