The Facade of the Hawa Mahal Jaipur is indubitably one of the most gorgeous and impressive things you will see in the world. The five storeys and the front facade have amazing and extensive networked marble work done upon them. The 953 windows called jharokhas are an astonishing sight. They were designed in the way so as to aid privacy.
Hawa Mahal Jaipur Architecture: The design of the jharokhas allows one to be able to observe the exterior without being seen. The lattice structures also facilitated the inwards flow and retaining of the fresh and cool air within the building as a result of the lattice network. The exterior and the walls of the palace are built of mostly red and pink sandstones. This is a Mughal architecture designed by Sawai Pratap Singh, Lal Chand Ustad.
The Hawa Mahal is an amazing amalgamation of cultures. The Mughal and the Rajput architecture as well as customs have been married beautifully here. The interior of the palace is built of varieties of coloured stones, gems, and chiefly marble. The inner courtyards are adorned with decorated fountains. Hawa Mahal is one attraction that stands synonymous with Jaipur and is thus a must visit.

Hawa Mahal is an iconic structure in the Pink City of Jaipur. Its located in a busy area and is easy to locate. Most people take pictures in front of the Hawa Mahal 'cos it a great view of the structure. You can enter and go till top of the Mahal for some nice views of the city, surrounding mountains and the Amer Palace. In the night time, it looks even more beautiful. The maintenance here can be better though. Don't miss on your tour to Jaipur !!
Place of Winds 😘 Wow! This palace is a stand out and well worth the price of a guide for two hours. We were treated like royalty. Our guide was divine. The views are stunning. What a fabulous insight into another world. Love this place.
Note my review is based on the street view, we didn’t go inside. His illuminated palace was our first sight when we arrived in Jaipur in the evening. Mesmerizing! A beautiful sight under the sunlight but even more in night time. Be sure to visto it. The entrance in on the back of the building. Students with card have very good discounts, check the pictures.
A historic place where a number of tourists are visiting every day. Entry ticket is available @ RS 50/- per head. Student and defence personnel are getting tickets for only of Rs 5/- each on showing of their I Card. Children below 12 years of age, are allowed to enter free. Internal artichture of the Mahal is very nice for photography. View of Jaipur market and back side from upper floor of Mahal is very attractive. A restaurant of Cafe Coffee Day is available in the premises of the Mahal, where visitors can make refreshment with tasty Coffee and other beverage items.
One of the reason why the Jaipur is knows as The Pink City. The color of red-pink sandstone will drive you to the another world. You will get fascinated by its structure & design. It is placed at market so you will get opportunity to taste some local dishes. Transport facility is good. Everyone should witness this beautiful palace once in their life.
