About Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur
The famous CheelkaTeela hill of the Aravallis is home to this magnificent fort. It was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II for the purpose of providing security to the Amber Fort and its adjoining communities from invasions of enemies. To a large extent, the floor plan of the Jaigargh fort resembles the Amer Fort.
The main attraction of the fort is the historical cannon located in its premises named the Jaivana. The Jaivana was the largest cannon of the world which ran on wheels, and was once vital in the political conquests of the royals of Rajasthan. Four temples known as the Laxmi Vilas, Lalit Mandir, Vilas Mandir, and Aram Mandir are also a part of the premises. They also include luxurious stretches of gardens belonging to the royal members of the city. The Fort also houses a chamber of armoury called Shubhat Niwas.
There is also a museum which exhibits the royal art collection along with stamps, cards and other artifacts belonging to the royals. The traditional armour and artillery are also displayed in a separate section.

Jaigarh Fort, Jaipur Reviews - Write a Review
Very good historical palace. Very huge. The best water harvesting and water management system one can see here.that should included as a project study in our schools. Canon foundry is amazing. Management should provide little more information about working of foundry. This is heritage palace. People should not write graffiti on Wall and keep clean the palace. Writing on wall in all heritage buildings are criminal offence. Everyone must visit and enjoy.
Basically a military garrison. You can easily (not that easy) walk from Amer fort. There are electric vehicle but it’s recommended to walk. There is a direct tunnel from between both forts. If you are not carrying any luggage it’s better to take the tunnel route.
Historic military garrison proudly displaying the largest cannon and a six hundred year Old cannon foundry. The view is beautiful as it is situated on a hilltop. Needs more maintenance. .
The best place that is a must to visit when you are in Jaipur. Take a guide along with you to understand better. Many Hindi movies had shoot here in this fort. The world's largest cannon is in this fort. Don't miss the view of Amber Palace from this fort palace.
The most scenic place in Jaipur. Had to walk a lot to reach the place but it's worth it. It's connected to Amber and has much better views than Amber fort.
