Jaipur Zoo - Review
The Jaipur zoo is zoo in Jaipur, Rajasthan. It is located near to the Albert Hall Museum and the Ram Niwas Garden. It is a must visit place in Jaipur. Expanded over a wide area of 35 acres, the zoological garden jaipur is a perfect spot for a full day family outing. The zoo is located at just a 20 min drive from the centre of the city and can be easily reached by an auto or a cab. The Jaipur zoo is not only one of the most vibrant zoological parks in India but also is the largest centre for crocodile breeding. Established in 1877, the location of Jaipur zoo makes it a prominently visited place in Jaipur.
The Jaipur Zoo timings are 9 am to 5 pm during winters and 8:30 am to 5:30 pm during summers. The tickets for zoo in Jaipur are very cheap. The Jaipur zoo ticket price Rs.15 for adults who are Indian Residents and Rs.150 for foreigners. Entry for children under 5 years is free. They charge you Rs.40 as an entry fee for your camera.

Chandpole is the nearest metro station to Jaipur zoo or you can also reach the zoo from MSG bus stand which is the nearest bus stand for public transport. It is a perfect place for kids and they can have a playful day here. Outside food is not allowed in the zoo, but you will find many food joints that offer local food and fast foods. The Jaipur Zoo houses over 550 animals and has approximately 50 different animal species. It is divided into two parts- one for mammals and one for birds and reptiles. The mammal section includes-
Herbivorous - Lions, white tiger, Bengal Tiger, black panther, leopard, fox, jackal, Indian civet, black buck, sambar deer, chital deer, chinkara, porcupine, hog deer.
Omnivorous - monkeys, black bear, himalayan bear, wild boar.
The birds and reptile section includes -
Birds - Peacock, love birds, pelican, emu, owl, duck, white ibis, teetar, pink flamingo, crane, stork, budgerigar, goose
Reptiles - Indian python, enectus notaeus, ghariyal, crocodile, turtle, tortoise.
The Jaipur zoo is a part of the conservation breeding programs of the Central Zoo Authority and Government of Rajasthan for the ghariyal, cheetal and crocodile. The Ghariyal farm established in 1999 is the fourth largest breeding farm in India. The zoo recently installed water coolers all over the zoo to protect animals from the scorching heat.

Well it is just fine to see once if you have spare time. As wild animal are moved to on other place. :(
No more no. Of animals are there.. If you visit here... Then your money will directly go to dustbin. There is animal like crocodile, ostrich, and few birds only
Its a good place but mostly birds are there and if you want to see Tiger, Bear and other animals then go to the other Zoo near Amber Fort.
This is first part of Jaipur zoo where animals are showed. Good place for visiting with friends and family. Also good for kids. At sometimes you send that security is less at some points. Average cleaning of zoo. Time take to visit around 2-2.5 for both zoo.
This is only for birds and animals are transferred to nahragad fort in aamer. Anyways this palace is very nice and pick nik hub..
